The Phou Iu Guesthouse and Restaurants Trekking Service takes the following measures to try and minimize their impact on the local environment and promote, conserve and maintain local culture and traditions:

-Works with local ethnic minorities to promote sustainable tourism and to ensure minimal impact on the environment and culture of the host community. Guaranteeing viable, long-term economic operations and providing socio-economic benefits to all stakeholders that are fairly distributed. Including stable employment, income-earning opportunities, social services to host communities and contributing to poverty alleviation. This also ensures that the local culture is preserved for the benefit of future generations.
