From experiencing the daily life of a Khmu Keaun ethnic village, planting and learning about rice. Trekking over the peaks and valleys in to the depths of the Nam Ha Protected Area while absorbing the sights and sounds of a real rainforest, its plants and wildlife. Finally breaking through the undergrowth to emerge at the base of a waterfall and bathing in its cool turbulent waters. This trek covers it all and is a good way to experience the sights and sounds of a real rainforest.

On this trek you will have a chance to go deep in to the primary rainforest, swim in waterfalls, learn about the wild animals of Luang Namtha and experience the culture of the ethnic minorities as well as stay the night in a traditional Akha Village.

In the morning you will visit the Nam Ha National Protected Area which is an ASEAN Natural Heritage Site. You will learn about the wildlife have a chance to walk the trails of the primary rainforest, see the old growth bamboo forest and a wild banana forest. Lunch will be prepared at the waterfall, Nam Tok Tad Pa Yeung, before you head off to visit the Ethnic Minority groups of the Akha and Yao peoples living around Muang Sing. You will have a chance to learn about their daily way of life, their traditions and their culture.

3 day jungle trek through the Nam Ha National Park, including waterfalls, cooking under the stars and a evening trek to look for wildlife, led by a local from the Khmu ethinc minority.

On this trek you will explore the numerous limestone caves that dot the landscape around Vieng Phouka, visit the communities of ethnic minorities and learn about their history, culture and traditions. Finally you will experience the sights and sounds of the numerous wild animals of the Nam Ha Protected Areas and explore the Bamboo Spirit Forest.

On this trek we stay for three days entirely within the forests of the Nam Ha National Protected Area, an ASEAN Heritage Site. It is a trip for those who want a true 'forest experience' and to immerse in the beauty of the jungle. The first night you will camp in the heart of the jungle.  The camp site is built out of natural products like bamboo and wood by the villagers. During the second night, Khmu or Lanten villagers will be your hosts. Along the way, local guides explain the forest products used by villagers for food, medicine, construction materials and religious ceremonies. Get up early with the first sun rays on the third day and have your breakfast in the village

A great one day trek ideal for those looking for some hiking through a variety of landscapes with visits to a variety of nearby ethnic groups. The tour starts on the broad open rice fields of the Namtha Valley at the Lanten Village of Ban Nam Dee. We wander up into the hills above the valley through a local forest reserve. You will see examples of terraced upland rice cultivation and visit the Sida ethnic group, a Tibeto-Burman group which only has two villages in Laos. On the way back we return to the starting point of Ban Nam Dee and refresh yourself at the village’s waterfall.
