Located outside the normal backpacking areas it is on the outskirts of Luang Namtha and is quiet and peaceful. The Sokxay Thone Resort is also within walking distance to the morning market and close to the night market, restaurants, trekking agents and tourist information.

Getting there
The Sokxay Thone Resort is approximately 10 minutes drive from the airport and 15 minutes from the long distance bus station. If you’re trying to get there yourself it’s best to start from the morning market walk south away from the morning market, you will come to a crossroads continue straight over the crossroads for about 200 metres and there will be a small gravel road on your right hand side. The Sokxay Thone Hotel is well sign posted at this point so you won’t miss the road. Take this road and follow the curve and you will find the hotel after about 30metres on your left hand side.
