The family run Sangouanchai Guesthouse, opened in 2009, is a new 3 storey building located outside the normal tourist areas but still in the heart of Luang Namtha. Clean and comfortable it is suitable for both the business and tourist traveler alike.
Situated opposite the morning market it is with walking distance to the places of interest in Luang Namtha, including the night market. With thick walls and tiled floors the Sangouanchai Guesthouse is cool and inviting. The guesthouse is one of the tallest buildings in Luang Namtha and provides nice views of Luang Namtha and its surroundings.
Facilities & Services
The Sangouanchai guesthouse provides a free pickup from the airport but otherwise the guesthouse facilities are limited. There is no breakfast available but there is free tea and coffee on offer in the lobby and a communal seating area. The restaurants of Luang Namtha are only a short walk away as are the morning market, tourist information office and trekking agents.
