Although breakfast is not included in the room price The Samlan Chai Mountain Lodge has a restaurant with beautiful views of Vieng Phouka and the surrounding countryside. But please note that as with most guesthouses in Vieng Phouka that any meals must be arranged beforehand.

At the time of writing Vieng Phouka does not have electricity. The government does have plans to connect Vieng Phouka to the grid although when this will happen is not certain.
