The Phet Moungkhoun Guesthouse sits on the brow of a hill just after the Chouk River on the main road that divides Vieng Phouka. With a large garden area at the front, the guesthouse is cool and calm. The rooms which are bungalow style, two rooms to a bungalow with a shared balcony, are dotted around the large garden area.

The bungalows are quaint simple and modest and are built from a mixture of materials. The rooms are clean and well maintained with simple wooden beds and warm bedding. All rooms have tiled private bathrooms with squat toilets and cold water showers.

Located just outside the centre of Vieng Phouka this does not really present a problem as Vieng Phouka is small and most places are within easy walking distance.

As with most of the guesthouses in Vieng Phouka the facilities are limited but the guesthouse is within walking distance to most places of interest in Vieng Phouka and there are restaurants nearby. There is however a small shop at the front of the guesthouse selling the basic necessities.
