This 30 km cycling tour around the Luang Namtha Valley includes visits to villages of Black Tai, Tai Leu and Lanten ethnic minorities. You will see silk production and silk weaving with natural dyes, a Lao alcohol distillery, mountain vistas, and expanses of rice paddy as well as visit to a small waterfall. Coming back to town, stop at the provincial wet market before riding on to That Phoum Pouk Stupa
Departing from Boat Landing Guesthouse, we cycle to Ban Poung of the Black Tai minority, Nam Thoung of the Tai Leu minority and Ban Nam Dee of the Lanten minority. We will see silk production and silk weaving with natural dyes, a Lao alcohol distillery, mountain vistas, and expanses of rice paddy as well as visit a small waterfall. In the cold season, we can learn about Lanten paper making. Lunch will include local village food prepared by Tai Leu villagers. On the way back to town, we stop at the provincial wet market before riding on to That Phoum Pouk Stupa and then back to the Boat Landing Guesthouse.Enjoy Local Food

Participant Guidelines
What to bring: Hat, bandana, sun-screen, clothes and shoes to get wet ( waterfall), mosquito repellent, change of clothes, warm clothes (Nov-Mar), flashlight, towel, money to buy handicrafts and extra drinks.
What is included: Water, meals, English speaking guide, bicycle as listed above, permit and entrance fees, service charge, government tax
The tour departs from Green Discovery Office in Luang Namtha at 8am.
